Paintball Body Armor

When you’re playing this sport you’re going to need some sort of armor to protect you because getting shot can hurt. I’m not saying it is a disabling type of pain that will have you rolling around, but it is an inconvience. And let’s not forget the forget the fact that you’ll end up with a welt/bruise on your skin where ever you end up getting shot. This can be completely avoided with paintball body armor.

Chest armor is the best type that you can get because it the most likely place that you’re going to get shot. The torso is the largest part of your body and the widest target for shooting, so it is the most obvious choice to go with. For the most part your chest can take a shot to begin with, but personally I’m not interested in the welts and bruises that come along with it. There are also some sensitve places around there like your nipples and your solar plexus that will be a much bigger problem for you.

Typically any sort of body armor you will get will extend all the way down to your stomach area too. I’m not really sure it is like that though. Football players and hockey players both have no protective gear for their stomaches, so I’m not really sure why it is so special in paintball. The only thing I can come up with is that it prevents you from getting welts.

I know a lot of you are looking for some sort of homemade paintball armor and I’m not really sure what to tell you. If you’re looking to do some sewing that you might be able to come up with something. What you need is a shirt that has layers of fabric. This means that you can cut into one layer and add something in. As for the type of material that you would add in, I really have no idea. I would think cardboard would work the best just because you can break it up into pieces and that will help you move better. I don’t think the protection will be that great, but what do you expect with homemade armor?

I’m not really sure what else I can tell you about paintball field armor. I suppose I should have a short blurb on padded gloves. I actually have a page for that, so you can read about it in more detail here, but getting shot in the hands can really be painful. In fact it could end your day because your hand will be too sore to pull the trigger. That is just a thought to have rolling around your head when you’re thinking of paintball body armor.
